Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust ("We") are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This policy (together with our terms of use of the End User Licence Agreement (EULA)  and any other documents referred to on the mobile application sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.  Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. By using the mobile application and visiting its pages and any sites connected with it  you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this policy.

Information we may collect from you

We may collect and process the following data about you:

·       Information you give us. You may give us information about you by filling in forms through our Mobile Application or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you register to use our mobile application, subscribe to our service, participate in discussion boards or other social media functions on our site, and when you report a problem with our mobile application or site. The information you give us may include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number, personal description, occupation, professional registration information and employer or company for whom you work or are connected with.

We will not share you information with any third party. Your information will be used to provide you with a personal login to enable you to access the mobile app and except for those purposes as described above, will not be used for any other purpose. Your information may be disclosed within the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust for those purposes above and with a third party sub-contractor who is responsible for the running, upkeep, alteration or monitoring of the mobile application where this is outsourced by us.

We may share your information with selected third parties including:

·       Business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter into with them in connection with the mobile application.

·       Analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our mobile application (or site)

We may disclose your personal information to third parties:

·       In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.

·       If Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about you may be one of the transferred assets.

·       If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS foundation Trust, our staff, out patients, or others. This includes exchanging information with other organisations for the purposes of fraud protection risk reduction.

Where we store your personal data

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of your request for log in or password, the processing of your personal data and the provision of any further information or support required by you in operating and using the mobile application. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our mobile application, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. This password is personal to you and you must not share your ppassword or any password provided by us to you in connection with the mobile application with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet, mobile applications and mobile devices is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our mobile application [site]; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data however, we will not be able to provide you with a log –in and password to access the mobile application or the information within it. Without your personal information there can be no access to the mobile application. If we wish to use your information for any purpose other than those listed above or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes we will usually inform you if we intend to use your data for such purposes. Access to information

The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
